6th Annual Climate Change and Resilience Symposium

Carolina Hazard Resilience Planners, a group composed of CRC students, and Carolina Climate Change Scientists are holding the 6th Annual Climate Change and Resilience Symposium on Friday, April 12, at the Gillings School of Global Public Health. The symposium will feature keynote speaker Brig. Gen. Stephen Cheney, USMC (Ret.), as well as two interdisciplinary panels and a student poster session.

The symposium will feature:

 

  • Keynote Address, 11:30am-1:00pm, 133 Rosenau Hall

Global Climate Change: Implications for US national security

Brigadier General Stephen Cheney, USMC (Ret)

  • Lunch and Student Research Poster Showcase, 1:15pm-2:15pm, Michael Hooker Atrium, Lower Level

  • Panel Discussion, 2:30pm-3:45pm, 133 Rosenau Hall

Climate Change Adaptation: Communities at a Crossroad

  • Panel Discussion, 4:00-5:00pm, 133 Rosenau Hall

Striving for Equity in the Face of a Changing Climate
