The Coastal Resilience Center is committed to increasing the representation of minority groups in the Homeland Security Enterprise (HSE), in emergency management, planning and engineering fields.

To meet this goal, the CRC is partnering with four Minority-Serving Institutions (MSIs) to create undergraduate and graduate programs to improve access to the education needed to pursue careers in these fields.

CRC also supports exchanges between its MSI and research university partners.  Partner MSI students are paired with PIs at research universities for summer internship experiences. CRC also actively participates in a program that partners faculty and student teams from any interested MSI with its research university network for summer internships and extended follow-up engagements.
